What a lovely weekend it was!! I was able to enjoy a quilting retreat with such a welcoming group of ladies! I even managed to finish piecing a quilt top that I've had in the works for two years! That was a group effort deciding colors and tearing out old colors I wasn't as sold on! We had a lesson on these adorable sewn baggies, which I plan to stuff with our farm goodies for the holiday season in our farm store & tree farm! Today I hosted a group of lovely ladies in town for a girls weekend and they wanted to visit with our animals and tour the fiber mill! They were so fun and said it was the highlight of their trip playing with baby bunnies and going home with goodies produced from the very animals that they visited during their trip! It was a heart warming weekend that makes all the hard work we do each day worth continuing!

Farrier day! Comet always has to be right up where the action is!
This week, we had the pleasure of meeting Missy of @crownhillfarmny and we had a lovely visit. She is very passionate about all natural techniques in dyeing fibers and also in her agricultural practices! She posts a lot of fun happenings on her farm, so be sure to hop on over to her insta account and give her a follow! It's amazing what all these women in Ag can really accomplish together! #womeninagriculture #farmher
Yesterday was shearing day for our floofy little sheepies!! We are so lucky that Tyler takes such care of our sheep and we can't wait to get started on making new goodies for the farmstore with their luscious fleeces! Check out that crimp and sheen on the twin Romney fleeces! Tyler had a good supervisor on duty too! |
