If you want to talk about a soft yarn, let us share this one we just finished up! This blend of super fine merino, baby alpaca, and angora feels as soft as a cloud in your hands... if clouds feel the way I imagine they do!
More lambs have hit the ground this morning! This time we have one precious little girl and one spunky little boy! Ivory thinks lambing duty is exhausting work!
We had an exciting morning! This little one is less then two hours old! She's still getting her morning bath, so we will take more pictures when she's all clean and she's had more time to bond with her Mama. Mom (aka Gurdy) is doing really well! She's fantastic at her job. The lamb went from zero to 100 this morning. She just laid while her mom cleaned her up then jumped right up and nursed for awhile! She's a foxy little lady and her mom knows it!
Alright... we think you've waited long enough! Now that they are all settled in and adjusting to their new home, we would like to welcome the newest members of the Blue Mountain team! These three beautiful ladies will be working all year long to grow squishy fibers that will be turned into more products for our farm store that we create in our fiber mill! They are currently bred ewes, so we are keeping them comfortable and anxiously waiting for lambing to start! Please send us all of your good vibes! Our last lambing season didn't end the way we had hoped it would, despite trying everything we could to save that little ewe lamb. Stay tuned for lambing updates and the fun things we create from their wool they provide us this year!
