Wow... what a weekend!! I am really glad that I decided to go along with my Mom, Madi, and Matt to Angora Nationals this past weekend. We had a wonderful time and our rabbits were very well received on the tables! The most tresured part of the trip for me were the many memories that we made, the necessary trip to Bd's Mongolian Grill, and the good conversations that I had with people I only get to see a select few times a year. As far as our rabbits, I am very excited to anno...unce that Shaw's Fuzzy Friends Panera (my Giant Angora Junior Doe) won 1st in her class out of 9 and Best of Breed not only in the National show, but in both of the Michigan All Breed Shows yesterday. I have to thank my sister Madi Shaw for giving Panera to me to coat out from a litter that she bred and raised. Matt's does also placed right behind Panera with his 2 junior does as well! My sister Madi had an amazing day with Best of Breed Giant Angora in the National Show and both All Breed Shows as well a Opposite of Breed English in the National Show and Best of Breed English in both All Breed Shows... she went on to receive BIS and RIS in Show B with her English and Giant and BIS in Show A with her English! We also participated in the Wool/Skein/Garment contest all of which received great comments and placings. We were bummed that we couldn't stay for the show today, but we were more concerned about getting the rabbits back home, settled, and selfishly wanted to sleep in our own beds tonight! Thank you very much to the Michigan Club, Narbc, and all of the volunteers for hosting such a fun National Show! We had a lot of fun, but we are glad to be home again! Congratulations to everyone on their well deserved wins this weekend, both in Open and Youth! Posted by Ashley

We had quite an enjoyable weekend hosting the Central Pennsylvania Weaving Guild! Our family worked together doing mill tours, shearing demo's, meet and greets with all of the animals, a catered lunch, an overview of the maple syrup operation, and a cheese 101 class! It was a lot of fun and such an enjoyable group of individuals!
Just another day at Blue Mountain... Making babydoll corespun, washing up some alpaca, class #2 on the knitting machines, and baby animal fun! For those of you who have Angora here for processing... Your fiber is up next! :)
We had a wonderful day and great company for our shearing event! Thanks to all who came out, shared stories, and created good laughs!
