Team work makes the Dream work! We had a lovely early Saturday morning mowing, weed wacking, and trimming up at the Christmas Tree Farm this morning!
This is a picture of my family. It doesn't include everyone - it's missing many, many important people. It's a glimpse of a rare time when we were able to sneak away and head to the beach last year. A rare time when we were able to take a break from our choice - farming. I look forward to having more times to spend with my growing family, grandchildren - (even if they are grand pups), and more! I am blessed! Please, please take time to understand that, yes, we chose to farm, heck - only 2% of the population chooses to do this - its challenging, exhausting, and one of the most rewarding things we know that we can do with our lives. My prayer is that everyone tries to respect that. Farms are being lost everyday. Farmers are having to make more with less land than what existed not long ago and God isn't making any more. That means that we often have to travel from farm to farm. We do it as quickly, and more importantly, as safely as possible so that we can bring food and more to those who don't farm. Please, when you approach equipment working hard for you, just take a breath and thank them. Don't pass a farmer illegally on a double yellow line. Believe me - we would much rather be working safely on one farm. I want grandchildren, and I want my kids to be around to raise them and have time to enjoy their trips to the beach to make memories - Blessings to you all.
-Angie Madi has been a busy bee working on some hand spun Angora Art yarns and is now offering them for sale for your knitting/crocheting pleasure! She spins them by request and each skein has variations in it. She's done plain neutral angora colors, blends with a little pop of Angelina, and even added decorative beads to some! If you're interested, message us or send an email to shawfamily@bluemountainfarms.net After reading all of your suggestions, Madi finally decided on the name for her newest Giant Angora addition in the bunny family! We are happy to introduce Marshall Mellow! Thanks to everyone who played along and offered name suggestions! It makes it more exciting when we have your help in coming up with the perfect names for our beloved fuzzy friends!
