Madi likes having your help naming all of her animals!! We've got another one for you guys!! This is her latest Giant Angora Junior Buck she's been working with. Even though there haven't been any shows nearby lately, she's still been working on coating him out for the fun of it, but he has yet to be named! Any suggestions are greatly welcomed!
The view from Madi and Tyler's office today! Gotta make the hay while the sun is shining!! ☀️🚜 These two are a comical pair that love to come every morning to the tree farm to run around and inspect our work! Our neighbor brings them up for a daily walk around the trees and to say hello before the summer heat sets in for the day!
Today was a hot day in the fiber mill, but the heat isn't so bad when you are playing with super soft fiber like this! Angora/Merino/Silk yarn runs that are prepped to make their way back across the country tomorrow! It's always hard sending pretty yarns out the door! 🐇😊💕
Since rare breeds have always been an interest with our family, in addition to the Nankin chickens, Madi also added a few Ayam Cemanis chickens to the coop! They are a striking sight. Their all black feathers have a beetle-green iridescence in sunlight that is stunning. They are very rare and these guys are still developing, but excited to watch them grow!
Anyone remember those little peeps that we posted pictures of this spring!? Well, they are growing up to be big, strong, beautiful egg layers! They lay quite pretty eggs too I might add!
Even though it is a lot of hard work, very early mornings are a breath of fresh air at the Christmas Tree farm! Madi even had a little helper today as we were working our way through the trees! The baby trees are really coming along!🌲🌲🦋
