What an honor it was for our fiber mill to have had a part in the making of this beautiful angora blanket! The UARC put together a fiber potluck where many individuals donated fiber from their stashes (wool, angora, mohair, etc.) for us to blend into roving. Each member received their share of roving back and began spinning. Each participant then created a knit, crocheted, woven, or felted square to be sewn together to create this gorgeous blanket! The proceeds go toward to Research and Development for the Angora Club! Pictured are my mom and I along with several of the members that took a great part in organizing this wonderful project!
It's show day at the 2016 American Rabbit Breeders Association National Convention and Madi is prepping Shaw's Lil' Nugget for the show!
New Yarns, New Projects, and Trip to California! The mill has been busily processing new yarns for our shop and filling orders for our wonderful customers. The girls will be taking a quick trip to California for the American Rabbit Breeders Association Convention. As a result, the store and mill will be closed Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8. Wish us luck as we head to Del Mar with a few rabbits, our angora projects, and Madi, who will be competing in all the youth contests. We look forward to this event every year! Above is a picture of one of our newest Giant Angoras from the barn and a sample skein of our sport weight blend of angora and merino which Ashley used to complete her entry for ARBA: Hand Knit Shawl. It's just beautiful, soft, and drapes amazingly! Madi of course completed an item as well. Using our gray angora blend of yarn as well as our angora roving, she knit a pair of boots which she filled with thrums inside. They are incredibly squishy! Also in the picture is a basket that I crocheted using our angora core spun yarn. New Yarns and New Classes: We have a lot of new yarns in the shop from our own line. We have new sock yarn, fingering weight and sport weight blends, core spun, roving, and more. New Classes
