Its a little hard to admire from a picture of the yarn already packaged up, but we just love natural colors of alpaca yarn together!

The last few days of the Etown Fair have been so enjoyable! Yesterday Madi participated in the breeding goat and sheep shows, where her dairy & Angora goats/ Leicester Longwool Sheep did really well and she was awarded champion goat showman! Last night the girls, a few Pasrba Royalty kids, and a few fellow 4-Her's participated in the Angorapalooza (bunny to scarf) event! In just two short hours, they were spinning angora fiber right from the rabbit, plied it, and wove it into a beautiful scarf , answering many questions by the many passing spectator's. They then donated the scarf to the fair and it is being auctioned off tonight at the arts and crafts auction to support the fair! This morning, Madi volunteered by announcing at the Dairy show! Its so great to be involved deeply in such a community oriented event such as this!
Another fun filled few days at the fair! Tuesday night was the rabbit show and Madi was excited to have been awarded Best In Show with Sandy her Flemish Giant! Today was an early day as we drove the goats and sheep down for the shows later, as well as the Angorapalooza at 4:30 today! With that said, our yarn shop will be closed early today at 3:00 due to the Angorapalooza at the fair!
Its Elizabethtown Fair week! We kicked off the first night last night by submitting all of our family living projects, hay samples, and baked goods followed by the queen competition where we supported one of our county's 4-Her's! All 4 girls did a wonderful job in the competition! Tonight is the rabbit show where Madi will be showing her Angora & Flemish Giant Rabbits as well as competing in rabbit showmanship! There's lots of fun fiber events throughout the week such as a fleece to shawl demo on Wednesday night and the Angorapalooza Thursday night, so if you're in the area, stop by and check it out!
Its getting close! Hope to see you there... We will have our booth as well as accepting fiber there! Let the countdown begin!
Loving this corespun going through the mill right now! Sometimes its really hard to let end products like this go out the door!
Due to the Dauphin County 4-H Fair, we will be closed through August 12th! Thank you for your understanding!
We've had white wool coming out of our ears lately!!
