It was one heck of a day yesterday for the Shaw/Bishop team at the National Angora Rabbit Breeders Club national show!! We've been working hard with our Giants and French lately, but never did we ever expect our rabbits to perform as well as they did across the tables yesterday! We certainly couldn't have done it without all of the continued mentorship and friendships we've gained in this hobby! That is seriously what we value most from this great hobby! With that said Madi's Giant Angora Senior Doe, Shaw's White Rice, took BEST IN SHOW youth in the national show! In the open show, Bishop/Shaws Divine Intervention, Giant Angora Senior Doe took Breed and went on to shine for BEST IN SHOW open!! We named her that because the judge said her density was simply divine! The funny thing is that both these senior does are sisters and Madi and I didn't even know we were both working on coating out the sisters for nationals! Bishop/Shaws French Angora Colored Senior Doe, we call her Whale, also went on to win Best of Breed and RESERVE IN SHOW! We are still in shock! There were a lot of really amazing rabbits on the tables yesterday! Congrats to Melanie and Yvonne Page Lyons for your best of breed English and Deb Clemens with your beautiful Satin Angora! Thank you to everyone, especially Emily Ashton, who worked very hard to put on such a wonderful show for all of the exhibitors this weekend! We missed not having Matt there with us, but he's off doing his thing and we're very proud of him! Here are some highlights from our trip!
