In our mill, we transform a lot of raw fibers into yarns, corespun rug yarn, roving, felt, etc. We hear about so many exciting future projects and we see occasional photos of finished projects, but many times we are left wondering what ever happened to that beautiful batch of fiber we processed!? A little over a year ago, two sisters visited us and their excitement for their future projects was contagious. They were so excited to have fiber to be processed into yarn from their very own Shetland sheep and they couldn't wait to construct hand knit shawls from their beloved pets! We worked hard to turn their fleeces into a natural lace & sport weight yarn. This past weekend, to our surprise, they came back with the finished shawls! No longer will we wonder what the finished projects looked like! Here are some pictures of the shawls the girls shared with us...
